Feature Story: Sanlorenzo’s Newest Model, the SL94
The Robb Report
The latest semicustom model from Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo bridges the gap between the Italian yard’s SL88 and SL104 models. The new yacht reflects Sanlorenzo’s efforts to employ some big-boat thinking, with such features as a flybridge that is larger than those of most similar yachts, plus a transom garage that can stow a 15-foot RIB tender. For this model, Sanlorenzo also decided to make the dining area a formal, separate room, whereas virtually every other builder with a yacht in this size range combines the saloon and dining area in one open space, usually out of concern that walls will make the yacht feel cramped. Sanlorenzo skillfully avoids this on the SL94, which also embraces a thoroughly modern decor, with all the details selected by the buyer to fit his or her specific design tastes.
