Sanlorenzo SX88 Americas Edition Debut

Crossing the pond: SX88 Americas Edition

Posted Date: January 24, 2018     By: Sanlorenzo Americas

After a hugely successful world premiere at the 2017 Cannes Yacht Show, and now with more than 12 units sold, the SX line’s first offering, the SX88, heads to the Americas for her North American debut at the 2018 Miami Boat Show. As with every Sanlorenzo bound for American waters, the new model is loaded with upgrades designed specifically to cater to the American yachtsman.

Anyone who's cruised the Mediterranean can attest to the differences between European and American yachting—from physical components such as climate and the need for substantial air conditioning systems, the way we drive (up top) and how we moor (side-to); to societal traditions, from entertaining etiquette to our relationship with crew.

As the American-based representative of Sanlorenzo, we at Sanlorenzo Americas are keenly aware of the subtle differences in cruising American waters, and the distinctive requirements most American yacht owners have for their yacht.

Where our competitors simply implement a U.S. conversion of European power, the SX88 America’s edition yacht arrives with the proper American standard 220volt/60Hz power system. In addition, unless a superior product originates elsewhere, all onboard equipment and appliances are available in North America—even the Italian brands—so they can be serviced locally. Your Sanlorenzo yacht will never be out of commission waiting for parts to be shipped from somewhere across the globe.
