FLIBS Feature Yacht: Sanlorenzo SL106

Posted Date: October 09, 2015     By: Aubree Thomas

The familiar, yet updated lines of the SL106 reflect over 50 years of nautical expertise and handcrafted quality. The 106-ft (32.2m) yacht was designed to specifically suit the Americas market, she has been built to the Americas Edition standard specifications in terms of the yacht’s systems and layout.
The first model of Sanlorenzo’s SL line of fiberglass planing yachts to offer a drop-down salon terrace, the SL106 continues to bring innovative solutions to the market while surpassing the competition.  A feature usually seen in larger yachts is her the substantial transom garage where the tender and toys are safely stowed away, leaving the decks and flybridge uncluttered for entertaining.  An extended swim platform ensures there is enough space at the yacht’s edge to sunbathe and kick your feet in the water.
Designer Marty Lowe once again brings her refined signature style to the SL106.  The model coming to Fort Lauderdale was envisioned in a soothing palettes of neutrals, where tranquil décor embraces the streamlined modernism of the Sanlorenzo yacht.  The contemporary lines of the yacht have been lightened with textural natural materials and an organic sensibility as evidenced in the unique interplay of illusions creating an interesting drama as one moves thru the yacht.  Exotic, tactile materials such as bleached oak and matte walnut woods, are contrasted with the sleekness and reflective properties of bronzed glass, stainless steel and bronzed mirror.
Accommodations include an on-deck Master suite, two spacious VIP staterooms and two guest staterooms, one of which is equipped with a convertible sliding berth system to give the option of a twin or double berth arrangement.  For ultimate privacy, all of the guest staterooms have ensuite heads.
