Double celebration for Sanlorenzo in Hong Kong:
first SD122 delivered and first 46Steel sold

Sanlorenzo just delivered to her owner in Hong Kong its first SD122, a 38-meter yacht built in composite material with a semi-displacement hull, that crossed the ocean on board of a special cargo ship.

“Lady Cecilia” – that is the name chosen by the owner for his SD122 – sailed from the Port of Genoa on board a huge cargo ship, (although the motor yacht is obviously capable of crossing the ocean autonomously).

After 39 days of cruising through the Suez Canal and the Indian Ocean, with calls at Singapore and Jakarta up to China, Lady Cecilia arrived safely in Hong Kong where, thanks to imposing and precise handling operations, the motor yacht was finally laid down on the water in order to reach her owner.

But Lady Cecilia is not the first Sanlorenzo motor yacht to land in China and in the Far East:- in the early 1990’s more than twenty Sanlorenzo 30-meter yachts (the legendary SL100 model) were sold and delivered in Hong Kong. Today, those made-to-measure gems – each one built according to the requests and the style of every single owner – can still be seen at the local Marina.

The arrival of Lady Cecilia in Hong Kong represents another important result for the Italian shipyard in terms of sales network growth towards the Far East and the so called “emerging markets”, where Sanlorenzo has also recently sold a beautiful 46Steel (151ft superyacht with a steel, displacement hull and three decks).  This Made to Measure yacht will be delivered in 2014 to her Hong Kong owner.
